Tomorrow (25) there will be an island wide trade union action by the RMP/AMPs demanding for a telecommunication allowance for which they are not entitled to. Only the categories in the SL level (eg. Medical Officers) are enjoying this privilege at present.
RMP/AMPs are in the MT category and none of the employees in MT category are entitled for a telecommunication allowance. Further the fact that RMP/AMPs are not involved in on-call duties also make them disqualified for this facility.
We kindly request all our membership to cover up the duties of RMP/AMPs during this trade union action in order to prevent a possible deterioration in patient care delivery.
