GMOA grieves at the tragic demise of Dr. S.S.R.B. Ishani Eranga Jayawardena, Intern Medical Officer of BH – Puttalam, who met with an accident at early hours of today, at the 61 mile post-Mundalam, while travelling in the hospital ambulance. She was on her way back, following transferring of a sick child to LRH Colombo.
Dr. Jayawardena was an intern medical officer dedicated to her work at the hospital paediatric unit.
GMOA earnestly requests the Ministry of Health to provide her family with adequate compensation for the incident.
