Yesterday at the District Court – Colombo, the court case which was filled against the GMOA trade union action to get an injunction against it, was withdrawn by the petitioner who claimed to be a cardiology patient affected by our trade union action. Most importantly the petitioner had to pay the court charges of the GMOA.
The GMOA legal actions which have been already taken against the so called patient will proceed further. This withdrawal of the court case it self is regarded as a historical victory any trade union had in the recent past against such an injunction.
