All medical officers were given the opportunity to have faster grade promotions as per the Circular PA 2006/06. But unfortunately for the last many years this provision has not been incorporated into the medical service minute.
The sole responsibility of this task lies with the Ministry of Health officials who have repeatedly failed to achieve it.
After giving the fullest possible support for this task during the last many months, now the GMOA has been compelled to take stern actions against them for their lethargic attitude over this issue. Hence a deadline of 19th April has already been given to the Ministry to complete their task.
We kindly request all our members to be vigilant on the new developments with regard to the service minute amendments of medical officers.
