It is reported that a fake Face Book Fan Page is being operated under the name of “Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya”. Following is an extract from the statement issued by Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya, President of the GMOA with regard to the aforesaid Fake Face Book Fan Page.
“I wish to state to the GMOA Members, friends, Colleagues and to the general public that there appears a fake face book fan page under the name “ Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya ” which is not created by or not belong to me which is created and operated with the sinister motive of defaming me and to distort the views expressed by me in my capacity as a member of a noble profession, President of GMOA and as a concerned citizen, who has always openly expressed views pertaining to issues and matters effecting Sri Lanka Medical Profession and Medical Education, international treaties and issues relating to chronic kidney disease. I intend to take appropriate legal action against the perpetrators of such and therefore, earnestly request you to not to be misled by the contents of any such fake face book fan pages.”
